All About M.I.A

LYRICS

M.I.A

Where the fuck we going
Where you been at?
People asking questions
Ain’t they business
Gotta reconnect on the Low
I don't want nobody else to know

I don’t  like eyes watching
We have always been private
It was on a need to know basis
Family and friends
Know our faces

And now we just sneak around
Make this feel forbidden
And I would cross a thousands miles
Just to hear you talk and listen

Wanted all our dreams turned reality
adolescence convos
Still a part of me
Picking out the furniture
Looking for apartments
Planning out the future
Even when we were apart and

You was my rider
And I don’t give a fuck about opinions
I don’t listen
Cause maybe I’m blinded
But Ik that my heart got my body  on a lock
And ion even mind it
Cause I been sitting growing
Through emotions
Cause  I had to love myself at first

And now that I’m ready for your presence,
I apologize for you being hurt

DeNami Explains "M.I.A"

"M.I.A."(Missing In Action), is a song about a love that has slowly reentered my life after a period of absence. Despite the ups and downs of the relationship, it had a strong hold as we found ourselves reminiscing and avoiding questions from friends and family about this love that we knew existed, but the rest of the world didn't. I struggled with wanting to reconnect but also fearing the attachment and trying to keep our distance due to personal growth. However, we couldn't help but feel the need to express the loss of this love, even though it may be better for us not to have it at all.
